Although party favors are never a required part of your celebration, favors can be a fun way to thank everyone for attending your family reunion. There are favor options available to fit every event size and budget.

DIY Family Reunion Favors

Making your own family reunion favors is the best choice if you are planning a relatively small event and have a limited budget. To make the process easier, consider enlisting a group of relatives to help create party favors for everyone.

Treat Bags

If your budget is limited, printable party favors are an excellent choice. This treat bag topper is perfect when paired with wrapped chocolates or jelly beans and a few peanuts.

Supplies

  • PDF treat bag topper, above (use Adobe to download)
  • Inkjet printer
  • Card stock
  • Paper trimmer
  • Clear plastic bags
  • Stapler
  • Jelly beans or wrapped chocolates
  • Peanuts (with or without shells)

Instructions

  1. Personalize the treat bag topper with your name and the date of your event.
  2. Print treat bag topper onto white card stock.
  3. Use paper trimmer to trim graphics to the desired size.
  4. Fill clear plastic bags with candy. Add a peanut or two to each bag.
  5. Fold your treat bag topper in half. Staple the topper on the clear plastic bag.

Personalized Hand Soap

Personalized Hand Soap

Hand soap personalized with a special family photo is a pretty yet practical choice for your family reunion favor. Keep the cost of this project down by looking for soap at your local dollar store.

Supplies

Instructions

  1. Use Goo Gone to remove labels from your soap dispenser.
  2. Print your photos onto photo paper.
  3. Laminate your photos using the peel and stick clear laminate.
  4. Trim photos as needed.
  5. Open the soap dispenser. Curl the laminated photo so it fits inside the opening. Gently push inside the bottle, so it will uncurl when it's all the way to the bottom. The weight of the soap will help push the image towards the back. Wipe any small amounts of soap off the bottle if any comes out while you add the laminated photo.
  6. Put the cap back on the soap dispenser. Add a ribbon and your family initial charm around the top of the bottle if desired.

  2. When the paint is dry, stamp the tree image on the lower left or right hand corner.
  3. Write "Our Roots Run Deep" next to your image.
